Each Will also has a provision that lets you leave specific items of personal property to certain individuals in a form you attach to your Will ( A Tangible Personal Property Memorandum).

  2. A WILL FOR MARRIED COUPLES WITH ONE CHILD that leaves everything to each other first and then to their only child.
  3. A WILL FOR MARRIED COUPLES WITH MORE THAN ONE CHILD that leaves everything to each other first and then equally to their children.
  4. A WILL FOR MARRIED COUPLES WITH CHILDREN FROM PREVIOUS MARRIAGES that leaves everything to each other first and then one-half in equal shares to the children of each prior marriage.

. If you have a minor child (under age 18), your Will includes guardianship provisions for you to appoint a person to care for the child should something happen to you. Your Will also establishes provisions to keep that child's inheritance in Trust until he or she reaches the age you specify for them to receive his or her inheritance.

You will also receive a Special Power of Attorney for the temporary care of minors. This document lets you give a person you designate the authority to act on your behalf for the things you specify should you be unavailable. If an emergency arises, not having this Power of Attorney in effect could result in your child being placed in the temporary custody of the Department of Human Services and a Child Neglect case being opened against you. All parents with minor children should have this Special Power of Attorney on hand so you and your child are protected.

All of these Wills contain the essential provisions found in Wills costing $100's more. The Single Person Will with No Children has no preprinted distribution provisions, but sample distribution provisions to relatives or others are included for your use so you can do it correctly. Sample distribution provisions are also included in the event all of the beneficiaries you name should die before you do or with you in a common disaster or accident.

Most people can complete any of these Wills in about 15 to 20 minutes. Lawyer’s secretaries or legal assistants can make these Wills for you in about 10 minutes by filling in the same information on a computer that you enter on these forms yourself using standard forms like the ones we provide. By doing this yourself, you can save $100s.

When you see how easy it is to make your own Will, you will be glad you did not waste money on having that same Will prepared for you.
